West side of Madison. We are a pretty easy going family and the kids are fun and smart. They like meeting new people and being active. The kids are well behaved and are usually good at listening to direction from adults. Alcina is in 1st grade and very smart, she loves learning, going to museums, the library and going to the park. Kagan is in 4K and loves firefighters. He can become disregulated when he's overheated - deep breathing together helps to calm him down.

How You Can Help

We are looking for someone who is willing to meet the kids where they are and to understand that they have autism and to be OK with the behaviors that they have for stimulation. It would be nice for them to be able to go on some outings to the park and library. The kids ask a lot of questions and will repeat themselves so being understanding with this. Would like to have some flexibility in schedule so that parents can go on a date night or work on cleaning the house etc. The family has a 3rd child who is not in CLTS and would be interested in paying to have this child also attend respite, he is 2.5 and would need occasional care. Weekends would be preferred with longer shifts.
