About Us

Audrianna has been through a lot of trauma in her life. Her parents both passed away a few years ago and experienced some trauma when they were still here. Her older sister has had some addiction issues and been in and out of jail, so that relationship with her can be tricky. The older sister does not live in the home. Her older brother, who recently turned 18, works full time, though lives in the home as well with her grandparents. Her grandparents are legal guardians of Audrianna and her siblings when they were under 18 years old. Audrianna does not have her drivers license, as she's had some incidents here and there of psychosis and substance use. She has been inpatient, but has been stable for many months, as she is on meds that are working well and she isn't abusing substances again. Social workers in the past believe that the substance use has triggered psychosis episodes for her, as there have not been psychosis episodes when she is sober. Audrianna is very social overall, as she wants to engage in conversations with others. During home visits, she will talk about her interests and future goals that she has for herself. She is motivated in school and wants to work hard to graduate, as she wants to pursue some sort of design, possibly interior design, in college. She has put a lot of work into catching up on credits. Audrianna really enjoys sports and working out. She likes weight lifting, playing football and basketball, going on walks and riding bikes. She loves to be outside when she can be, given the weather.

How You Can Help

Grandparents are looking for respite more on an as needed basis right now. Audrianna's older brother has a full time job and will be out of the home most times Audrianna would have a respite worker. Grandparents are wanting to take a few weekends here and there to go out of town, so they would need someone there with Audrianna for most of the day. They do not need someone for overnights. Audrianna has struggled to maintain friendships with females, as she's had conflicts with a few female friend groups at previous schools. She's had female mentors and social workers and responds and connects to them well. She also connects with her male peers at school well and maintains stronger friendships with them. Though, she does not have a preference in the gender of the respite worker.
