About Us

Emmett splits his time between me and his father. I live in Lodi (which is where we be for Respite needs) and his father lives in Wisconsin Dells. He is an only child. Both of us work full time.

How You Can Help

Someone that can provide care for him after school until I get home from work. Monday & Tuesday will be the biggest need from 3:15-6pm (ideal is 6pm, could be 5pm if needed, but would be challenging!). Every other Friday from 3:15-5pm. (he is with me every other Friday). I can have that as optional if we can't find someone who can do Friday. Monday/Tuesday is the biggest need. Either picking him up from school (which is 2 blocks from the house) or being at the house when he is dropped off. Helping him decompress after school - unload his backpack, have a snack and then provide companionship to him. He thrives on 1-1 attention. He likes to be active most of the time, but some days (esp on a Friday) might just want to relax and watch YouTube. If it is someone that wants to be there and not engage, that will not work. That will cause him to escalate. 98% of the time things go smoothly and he is fun and happy kiddo. If he escalates, someone that can remain calm and worth through strategies to de-escalate and redirect.
