About Us

Gavin is our 12 year old son who has Autusm with limited communication. He takes a while to warm up and can be quiet and keep to himself self for a while but is a truly caring, funny kid. He loves to just be outside, go for car rides, play tickle and chase, and listen in his control to you tube on the iPad. We do have a fun loving golden doodle Ruby as well who loves to be pet. We live on a culdasac and have a fenced in yard so it’s helpful to be outside with little issues. Gavin still needs help learning some adl’s but is striving each year.

How You Can Help

We are in hopes to find a Respite Companion that is light hearted and caring and that doesn’t give up easy. A person that is creative with trying multiple activities and is ok going for car rides with Gavin. He is sometimes a hard shell to crack but when you do you will have a life long buddy. Gavin is almost potty trained but could have accidents. He needs help with making his snacks, and zipping coats, sipping in open cup, and dressing clothes on right way. Which could all be activities of daily living that can be worked on. He always tries but needs assistance. None the less, just looking for an individual to engage and try with him and help watch Gavin afterschool so dad and I can finish work for the day.
