About Us

My husband, Isla and I just moved here a few weeks ago from the Fond-Du-Lac/Sheboygan area. Our daughter is a super sweet little girl who loves to learn new things, listen, sing, and dance to music, bath time, read books, go on walks, and jabber on (in her own language, Spanish, and English.) She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy last Spring so she is working on gross motor skills (mainly walking, transitions, etc.) Her legs are moderately affected and her arms are just mildly affected --she has really nice fine motor skills (for coloring, eating, doing puzzles, stacking, etc.) After Isla opens up, she loves to communicate and play. She is also making great progress in her gross motor skills as she completes the 2nd intensive PT month at CI Pediatric Therapies. She can now use her reverse walker and take a few independent steps! We love going outside, kayaking, paddleboarding, traveling, cooking, having fun, and exploring new places. My husband is a social worker and I am in nutrition. We appreciate help with Isla so she can continue progressing with her mobility.

How You Can Help

We are looking for someone to help Isla with her gross motor skill development (assisting when she is in her walker, encouraging standing with assistance-- by the couch or in the kitchen stool, helping with transitions like bench sit to stand, etc.). She likes to be independent but this usually is when she is on the floor in W sit position (which is not great but not ideal for her development.) When encouraged, you can really see her light up! It's amazing to watch her progress and grow stronger. Flexible schedule looking for about 5-10 hours per week.

I'm interested in working with Isla!
