About Us

Lettie lives with her mom, dad, and little brother. She is a curious little girl who loves to play and be with her peers. She is a little teacher helper, and establishes close connections quickly. She is completely blind. Her family does a great job of making sure Lettie is included in everything, and making her world adaptive to her needs! She lives in a loving and safe home, and her parents only want the best for her this summer. We are looking for support to attend summer camp with Lettie, because otherwise has been told she cannot participate. We want to ensure she has access to summer camp, just like her peers! We want to give her lots of opportunities to feel and experience new things! We are looking for someone to attend after school YMCA at Olson Elementary with Lettie Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 2:30-6 on days school is in session beginning on 9/2/26.

How You Can Help

We are looking for a respite companion that is patient, fun, and attentive to Lettie. This person will attend camp with Lettie 3 days per week and ensure she stays connected to her peer group at camp. Experience with children with special needs would be excellent, but is not required. Ideal candidates would have a car to get them to and from work.
